Bulldozer fix?

I can't remember exactly, but a little bit ago I thought I heard something about a bios update or bug fix or SOMETHING that decently increased the performance of the fx bulldozer series. It didn't make bulldozer what it was supposed to be, but was a fairly large improvement nevertheless. Not sure where I heard this but it wasn't all that long ago. Am I mistaken or misinformed?

BIOS's are for motherboards and don't usually include CPU microcode updates.

You mean disabling some certain cores etc?

There was a Windows update that adjusted how threads were scheduled on BD, which in some cases saw performance increase. Others saw a performance decrease though. Depended on workload.
