Crossfire Pro vs. Crossfire Cable ??????

Hello,

I have two FirePro cards (v5900). I need a bridge cable. Is there a difference between the Crossfire and the Crossfire PRO bridge cable???

I can't find any answer online.

That's what I figured. But why then do they have a specific or say specifically to use an ATI Crossfire Pro connector? You would figure they would just say... "Crossfire Connector".

I also saw on ebay someone selling a Crossfire Pro connector. When I looked at the image it said "ATI Crossfire Pro" on the connector.

I figured, at first, that it's just a ribbon. Connecting 20 pins to 20 pins. But you would think AMD / ATI would just sell a "Crossfire" cable instead of stating on their site: ATI Crossfire Pro connector.

Of course, my ASUS MB didn't come with a connector! ARRRR!

Well if your mobo didn't come with one and you have to buy one just grab the ATI "Pro" connector from ebay, then your in no doubt about whether it'll work or not.

The problem is that the Pro one on ebay is too short for my config. I need the long version of the cable - 4" version. So, I'm going to have to go with the standard 'Crossfire' cable.

If anyone reading this has two FirePro cards connected with a standard Crossfire connect please let me know if it works.
