Ipconfig help

Hello,
my wife brought a server and a switch. Having problems configuring the server detting on to the internet.Ran a lan line from my existing router to server WAN and Server LAN to switch. The sever is Microsoft 2000 Server runs on NT. Please help.

are you trying to use the server as a Proxy or just plain file sharing?
