No wonder there are things like the Code Red Worm. These security measures takin to make Audio CD's unrippable are a violation of my end user rights. I as a consumer have a right to make back up's of music that I have purchased. I will not purchase 3 of the same CD's just so I can listen to it in my home, car and/or work. Where are those blood sucking lawyers when it's the actuall consumers getting rapped by big business?
Now it seems that they not only want you to purchase multiple copies of the same album, but they want to put you in jail if you do happen to by-pass their schemes for personal use. It seems that a war is about to start that will raise prices of music and more than likely Internet cost as well. With this new age of music and Internet the record industry is giving us a preview of how the Oil Companies are going to react when their business is threatend.
Solutions??? You can pay 30$ for a MLB ticket to see your favorite team, or you can pay your power bill and buy a TV and watch it for free (Semi, you have to watch commercials, not really any diffrent from all the billboards they have at a ball park). This example is perfect for the recording industry. I know I get to hear examples on the radio, but I may not want that crap they play on the radio, but a deeper track. So make radios pay more money for playing songs, and then give us free music on the net for paying our phone bill.
