Hey guys I figured I needed the communities help on this one. I am in the market to grab a new display, but the problem is whether to go 1440p or 120hz?? Right now I will spend at MAX $400 and if I can get away with going cheaper I surely will. I mainly use it to Game and browse the web. Here are 2 monitors I was going to get.........

I mainly play RPG's like Skyrim and D3. But was thinking of getting Black Ops 2 and BF3 when I catch them on sale. So basically I play everything. I'm not gonna lie I am right now totally bias for the Catleap. I have heard nothing but Rave reviews about the thing! And I know color reproduction and just general overall quality of images will be vastly superior on the Catleap seeing as it has a 1440p IPS LED display :bounce:

But I am also torn because I have heard 120Hz making a huge impact on people with most saying they will never go back to 60Hz again due to the smoothness of gameplay and general tasks. Plus $355 for a descent 120Hz LCD that also comes with the entire Nvidia 3D vision KIT is a freaking killer deal!

Which monitor should I get? Does any1 have any suggestions of any other monitors in my price range? Or is ti even worth it to upgrade from my 1680X1050 22" Hanspree?? I currently use a Gigabyte GTX SOC 570. It's a strong card but definately will need to upgrade if I go 1440p. But that's no big deal as I will be getting a GTX 680 or 7970 3 months after I buy my monitor. So the 570 only need last a little bit.

Thanks for the help

You should probably go with the 120 Hz monitor for smoother and better gameplay, because even if you play some high end games on the 1440p monitor, they might lag, although I'm not sure because the GFx card you are thinking of buying is pretty powerful!

I have been told for 3d monitors you should stick with a 23" or 24" in monitor. For some reason the 24" monitor displays better for the 3d and with the GTX 680 you will be able go game like no tomorrow.

And do it in 3d So my choice would be the 23" 3D monitor. And if you have blueray in 3D You can't go wrong. Good luck to you.r
