GTX 460 is around 97% faster than HD 5670. Which means that it has double performance.

in what? 2D charts? he doesn't game. the GTX460 is a waste of money. frankly the ati 5670 is overkill. I set up a day trader computer for my dad using an ATI 3450 several years back. none of his tasks are GPU demanding. an ATI 5570 or AMD 6450 will run several monitors and graphics with ease.

He asked which one is faster, I told him. What's wrong with it? Even if he doesn't game, if I had to choose which one to keep on the table and which card to keep inside the PC - I'd choose GTX 460 any day.

the GTX460 is EVGA model 01G-P3-1370-RX, it said core clock 720 MHz
I need the best performance because the market is very fast paced, I used to use a Nvidia Cuadro 440 something ( NVS?) with 512 MB of memory and sometimes the charts will freeze for 5 or 10 seconds, and then it will update. I used the cuadro with 4 monitors, but I am willing to use only 2 monitors but hopefully wit no freezing. Those 10 seconds could cost me a lot of money.
Thanks for your answers.

Thank you very much sunius, you got the right answer, and it could save a lot of money, like I said, the nvidia cuadro 440NVS will freeze the charts when the market got crazy.

Regardless of which card is better suited to your work, the GTX 460 is the better card but a fair amount. Since you have both, it makes more sense to use the better card - it's not like the 460 will somehow not work just because it's well suited for gaming.
