GTX Card for my Dell XPS 8300

Hi Guys. This is my first time on Toms Hardware so forgive me if I post this in the wrong section. I have a Dell XPS 8300 with an i7 2600 @ 3.4 ghz and an ATI Radeon 6450. I also have a 460W PSU. My question is, what kind of GTX card will work with my computer ? Will a GTX 560 work ? Thanks.

The 6450 shows 28W max:

According tom's hardware benchmark the GTX 560 1GB shows 200 W max:

Your CPU at load shows 86 W:

The total if you were to add in the 560 would be at 286W. Your PSU should be sufficient enough.

Yes, the total load would be at 384 W, when you input monitor and RAM, and other things it may be different

Yes, but please list out the specs of your computer. This is only based on your CPU and Graphics card you are getting. I have a feeling the other components might increase.

What kind of power supply do you have? oem psu's tend to be on the cheap side (personal experience) and the gtx570 would require two 6-pin PCI. some 460W have two 6+2 (seasonic) but most have just one 6-pin PCI.

I factored in your GTX 570 and your specs

According to this it is rated at 607W minimum:

It is recommended you get a better PSU at 650W

With a 560 or 560 Ti you are rated around 550W: You may get a 600W or 620W.
