I was wondering which is a good low profile gaming graphic card because my 8400 gs 512mb is old and i was pretty noob when i bought it (didnt know *** back then) but I the thing is atm cant go over $45 and also i want a low power card, I know its difficult to find one and if i do buy one what are the specs i should see before buying so far i think the ram of graphic card is important (2gb) memory clock, core clock, and shader module anyway i would like to know how to best buy a graphic card. So far i found only this MSI R6570-MD2GD3/LP Graphics card - low profile - 2 GB

That's probably as good as you are going to get given your low budget. If you can find a 1GB version for less money then go for it because a HD 6570 is really not powerful enough to take advantage of 2GB. 2GB of RAM is not really used at all until you go over 1920x1200 resolution, but a HD 6570 is too weak even for that resolution unless you don't mind low quality graphics.

I actually have one of those for a custom HTPC I build into old NES cases, havent had a chance to put it thru some tests, however I also use 430 GTs in them and the 6570 is 2 tiers above the 430 in terms of rankings here on TH and also on the 430 GT with an E-350 chipset ive tested Diablo 3 on high and had about 20-25 FPS. At 720p I think the 6570 would do ok. There is a low profile 6670 as well but its out of your budget.

i googled 430gt and 6570 i came up with this results ($39) ($50) ($54)

idk which is better at low price but i cant see difference in the $39 MSI N430GT and the MSI R6570 if anyone could point them out it would be helpful although when i compared details given below it except the 6570 has opengl 4.1 and 2.1 x16 bus and 430gt has 4.0 and 2.0 x16 bus so is $39 better for its price?

Neither is really good for gaming, altho some will be playable at 720p. Mostly they are HTPC cards and the 2 gb 6570 is just a gimmick card really, as stated above, it isnt powerful enough to even take advantage of 2 gb of VRAM.

I build low profile computers daily. Your best bet would be the radeon 6670 with 1GB GDDR5 The 6570s are normally GDDR3. I believe an XFX comes with a pure low profile 6670 for $99. that is a great card and @ 1080p Med/High will run great.
