Hello, whenever I plug in a new usb powered device to any port on my computer. Be it a new mouse, headset, or even a usb drive, as well as my phone. This causes all other devices to become unpowered and for windows to become busy and not respond. Forcing a restart. This becoming a huge pain in the ass. If I ever need to change mouses. Any ideas how this might be fixed?

Solution
USB only provides 500ma-900ma(per controller not per port)no matter how big your psu is. If you are drawing more other devices may quit functioning, continued over draw can damage the controller. The best solution is the get a powered hub.

How does one do this? And would it compromise anything?
