Spirit Tap

Hi there,
My friend I play priests simultaneously. He maxed Spirit Tap for his first 5
talent points and I decided to max the talent that gives %5 Critical chance
to holy spells (forgot the name) Then I saw that having Spirit Tap decreases
downtime between fights as Mana regenerates quite fast with it. So I gave my
next 2 points to Spirit Tap also. But from that point, we couldn't see
Spirit Tap on both of us. If I get he doesn't and if he gets I don't. And I
have only 2 points on the talent, which is %20 chance.
Do you know if only one person in a party can have Spirit Tap?

TIA

Isn't that the ability that triggers if you get the killing blow, which only
one of you could get?

LordSpike left a note on my windscreen which said:

Check the tooptip description. Spirit Tap only activates if the priest
get's the killing blow so on a single enemy there is no way both priests
will get the proc.

Yes, only one person can have Spirit Tap working from any one kill. The Tap
activates only if you get the killing blow, not your party. If you pull 2
things at once, try to split the killing blows, then you will both get the
benefit.

(In answer to all three replies)
I remember the tooltip saying activation after killing an enemy that gives
xp. But your comments explain why we can't both have spirit tap.
Thanks.
