9600GT low power - replacement?

I have an old Dell desktop with the following specs:

System Model: Dell Inspiron 530
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT

I know I bought the 9600 GT because it was low power, as I'm sure the Dell does not have a great PSU. Is there any replacement for this graphics card that would preform any better?

The Inspiron 530 has a 300w PSU, and Dell uses pretty high quality units for pre-built.

This would be a decent upgrade for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If you PSU has a 6-pin PEG connector for a GPU, you could get an HD7770 which would improve performance: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I'm leaning towards the HD 7770, but I'm concerned about power consumption. The PSU is only 300 watts, and the 7770 is listed at either 500w or 600w. I know manufacturers are conservative in their rankings, but even if there's an extra 6-pin connector in there, wouldn't that be too much?

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the 7750. Thanks!
