Hello, is AXLE geForce 9500 GT

http://www.thephysx.com/graphics-card/AXLE-nVIDIA-GeForce-9500-GT-1GB/

compatible with my pc specs?
Processor: AMD Athlon X4 640 3.0ghz
MoBo: EMX-MCP61D3-iCafe
Memory: 2gb Kingston DDR3 1333
GPU: Palit geForce210
ATX Casing with 600watts PSU

my friend is selling me that gpu for only $16, and i would like to know if it is compatible with my computer..

is it ok if i change my GPU? is it better with my geforce 210??

i'm hoping for your quick response.. thanks a lot.. =)

Solution
yes it is compatible as long as your mobo has a pci express x16 slot which yours does.
9500gt won't be a super card however it would perform about 40% better than your gt210. So yeah there is no reason why you shouldn't upgrade. You psu is more than sufficient since 9500gt doesn't even require an external power connector.

I enjoyed my 9500gt 5years ago. Takes me back :)

its an okay motherboard for amd cpus. But just changing the mobo won't improve your overall performance. You have to upgrade your gpu and more importantly your psu. If it cant power up a 9400gt despite being 600w, there is something seriously wrong with it. I could run a 9500gt on a small 350w psu.

i dont know if my psu has the problem although its a generic one.. bcos i managed to use my pc
although the gpu is installed in my board.. then that gpu suddenly stops spinning after a moment... is it that the gpu has a problem? hmmm

i'm confused what to buy 1st..i planned mobo 1st so that it'll be my foundation if i bought another components.. i planned next is Corsair Vengeance 1600, then if i cant use that 9400gt i'll stick with my 210gt.. then if i'll have a budget i'll buy a new gpu.. BUT WHAT ABOUT MY PSU?!!! tsk..tsk... =|

forget about the corsair vengence, a little faster memory won't make any difference. Save your money for a new graphic card like the hd6850 or a gtx460. Your amd quad core processor is fine, and so is the rest of the pc. Only problems are with the gpu and the psu. At least get a corsair cx500 or equivalent for the psu.

the psu has about 30A on 12v rails. So it will run midrange cards like gtx 560. Still the psu brand is generic and a corsair cx500 would be way better for $59($49 after rebate from newegg)

oohh i see, i was almost interested in that psu.. the seller said it is true rated.. etc..etc.. ok i'll go for corsair cx500. =)

one more.. does Asus m5a88-m, can really handle the new AM3+ processors? the bulldozers if i'm not mistaken.. amd fx.. =)

Actually I dont think the Asus m5a88-m can handle the fx series, you need a Asus m5a88-m evo for that which costs practically the same.

i changed my mind.. i think theres no sense to buy new MoBo..
i'd rather buy a 4g ram and a PSU 1st..

coz i reviewed that my CPU only supports 1333 of memory..
whats the sense of upgrading a MoBo with a high Memory support if my CPU cant..

am i right? hehehe

yeah just as I said, there no point of upgrading mobo/ram. Just add another 2gb 1333 stick to your system and you will be fine. Save up for a better psu and a better gpu, that's what you need to make a real difference. Get a cx500 and a gtx 560 ti or at least a hd 6850/6870
