Be careful with the "Other 7750"

It used to be very simple when we make recommendations about the most powerful graphics card that does not require a 6PIN PCIe connector. But now, AMD has released the other 7750 which requires the 6PIN PCIe connector.

What was AMD thinking not renaming this card with some other number like 7755?

True. It is nothing more than an OC'd 7750, actually. I still fail to see the wisdom in this AMD strategy when users can just OC ordinary 7750 to 900Mhz. Of course the 900Mhz 7750 are probably from better binned cards with better OC headroom but still... if I am getting a card with a PCIe connector, I wont be getting the 7750 for sure.

The reason they clocked the ordinary 7750 so low is it needs more power than the PCIe slot can provide. If you had any intentions on OCing, you'd want this version. Of course if you want to OC, you could just start with a faster card.
