So I'm building my computer on a budget right now.

Current specs is as follow:

Windows 7 Ultimate
6Gb DDR2 Ram (can't change due to motherboard)
ASUS M4A785-M AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
HGST 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
630 PSU
Graphics card?

I'm just wondering what graphics card should I get . . .

The current graphics card i have now is a Palit GTS 250 which is old and runs games on low or medium

I have a few suggestions in mind like a 550 2gb or a 470 1gb or a Radeon equivalent. What do you guys think?

BUDGET: $100 - $160

What is your monitor resolution?

Maybe you mean 1680x1050. At this resolution, Even a GT440 will be excellent. However it is a cheaper card & falls below your budget. It can be had for as low as $60. Cheap as it maybe, but it is the best graphics card for the money at 1680x1050:

6870 is good if you plan on upgrading your monitor to a full HD or 1920x1080.
