Old components i'll be using:
2x OCZ Vertex 2 SSD drives
2x WD Raptor drives
1x DVD drive

New components:
CPU: i5 3570k
GPU: EVGA Signature Edition 680 , 2gb
MOBO: ASRock Extreme4
RAM: 8gb g.skill 1600mhz
Case: NZXT Switch 810
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Plus
PSU: Corsair HX750

Questions I have:
Is it worth upgrading to the i7 3770k for gaming purposes? This will be a gaming only PC.
Is this motherboard good for overclocking, which I will do in the future when I add watercooling
Is it worth getting the 4gb 680. I will be running at 1920x1080. But I do plan to upgrade to 3840x1080 in the future.
Is it worth getting either more ram or a higher speed? Like 2000mhz or something.

Any other suggestions u got would be helpful =) thanks.

1) No, it is not worth upgrading to the i7 3770k for gaming purposes. The extra threads won't benefit your gaming experience at all due to most games only utilising up to four cores/threads :)

2) Which chipset version is your motherboard? As there are LOTS of ASRock Extreme4 motherboards.

3) I recommend you take a look at the GTX670. It's $100 cheaper and has very similar performance to the 680. I don't think you'll see too much benefit from a 4GB card unless you intend to exceed 2560x1600/1440 resolution.

4) Your PSU seems a bit overkill for a single GPU configuration. Unless you intend to SLI in the future, I would recommend a 650w PSU.

5) And lastly, you can get higher frequency RAM if you'd like, but I don't think you would see too much benefit. More than 8GB is pretty much wasted for games.
