Gtx 670/80 or hd 7970

personally i would go (and went) with the 680, but if you are a little short in cash the 670 will do the job already, both are awesome video cards and both will run flawlessly (1080p) GTA IV, MW1/2 and Bf3... your computer specs are very good and you are able to use any of those GPUS.

I have a gtx 680 in a system almost identical to yours (see sig.). I can say it's a very good card and will max out anything for awhile. Reviews state the 670 is just a hair slower than the 680 and for $100 cheaper its probably a very good option.

I'm not too familiar or have much experience with the amd side so I'll refrain from commenting about those cards.

I just picked up a GTX 670 for $378 delivered. Due to arrive on Thursday. I opted for the EVGA FTW model as it seems to have the most consistent reviews. I originally wanted the ASUS TOP model but there seems to be some serious problems with the drivers or something. Lots of red screens i guess.

woooo thts cheap work it out in pounds as I live in the UK...
