Hard disk not showing in boot set up in xp

Hello,
hard disk not showing in boot set up in xp
system mgmt shows the drives, but setup wont

Is the HDD partitioned and formatted? If it is not partitioned it may not show.

rt click the drive in system management and delete any existing partitions and then format the drive pretty much the same way. Please note that formatting the drive will erase it just in case its already been formatted in a format that XP can't read.
