Is it normal for the CPU..

As I'm waiting for a new motherboard (it had bent pins) I noticed darkened spots on the 2 corners on the bottom of the CPU and I imagine that it's not normal yet I have no idea what could have caused it. As the only possible things it could have been is ArtiClean, MX-4 or fingers but I really don't think any of those have touched it.

I don't see anything that looks wrong. From what I can see everything looks fine. When you get the new motherbard try the CPU. Either it will work or it won't.

Totally fine bro. Don't worry about it - all that matters is that the die is okay - which is under the IHS and is safe - and the pads - which look 100% okay

Well it POSTs now so all is well apparently, now just to reinstall windows

Thanks for the reassurance though, was rather paranoid.
