So I Bought A New Sapphire Radeon 6670 HD DDR3 1GB Yesterday. I Had A Nvidia 9400 GT Before. SO After Uninstalling All Nvidia Software I Installed All The latest AMD Drivers And Started Skyrim.. I Got Very Low FPS Like 10-12 And After That I Tried Binary Domain And Dirt Showdown Too.. So I Formatted My Windows Downloaded All latest Drivers And Tried Again. Same Low Performance..I Even Checked It Using Furmark..Same 5-10 FPS..

I Have A Very Old 1024x768 CRT Monitor
C2D e7400@2.8ghz
2GB DDR2 RAM
500w PSU

I Used To Get A Lot Better Performance On The Same Settings On My Old 9400 GT. :\

Please Help. I Tried Rolling Back To Older Drivers Like 12.1 & 12.2. But That Didn't Help Too

Your PCIe slot is running at X16?

Hello,

What is your motherboard name and model number?

Are you sure your resolution is 1024x768 right now, since you said you formatted your computer?

What OS are you using?

You should be getting better than that.

But still, the 6670 is barely considered mid-range, and by most accounts it is where low-end meet mid-range. Still, with solid components around it, the performance it is capable of producing should be more than playable for Skyrim. Unfortunately, that is what it lacks.

You need a better CPU and you need more RAM. Skyrim in particular is very CPU heavy.

Get an i3 2400 and another 2GB of (DDR2?), and then you will have a PC capable of achieving playable frame rates.

Hmm ok. Have you disabled your onboard video card in your BIOS? Are you plugging in your screen into your new graphics card?

Could you run unigine heaven benchmark just to see whether your graphics card is working properly?
