First off, you need to talk with your Network Administrator at work to make sure this is OK by the company. Then, the easiest method is to use third party software and LogMeIn is me personal choice. You work through their website so you can log in from anywhere and access the machine you nominated as the prime server when you uset the account up.
Others are avaliable - GoToMyPC.co.uk if you're in Britain and the Norton people - Symantec - market one called PCAnywhere but that involves installing software which might mess with your login by overwriting msgina.dll.
