External graphics card for laptop

Hello, have a hp presario c700 laptap running windows 7. dont do much gaming at all but my laptop does not have a 3d graphic card in it. where can i buy an external graphic card from? thanks (i do assume they make such things!!!)

I don't believe that they have such things (external graphics cards). If you are inclined to make your own external graphics card, this link might be of use.

However, I believe that there are some solutions being developed using thunderbolt ports on newer laptops.

That is correct steamroller16, there is a possibility that future graphic cards will be able to use thunderbolt ports.
