Hello everyone,

I am planning to build a gaming computer and I need some advice! I want this to be future-proof so it will last me long. And will all these parts fit in the case I chose? Are there better choices that you'd recommend>

Looks good. I'll give you a few recommendations though. I don't like one or two of the choices you've made.

Cooling: The H100 is problematic. Unless you're absolutely set on it, get a top notch air cooler like this...

Noctua NH-D14
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018

I'd also recommend this PSU...

CORSAIR Professional Series HX750
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

SSD: not too fond of ocz, try this...

Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148442

If you can, step up the SSD to a 256gb crucial.

For RAM, you'll want to grab a quad channel kit, as the lga 2011 mobos support quad channel memory. Try this...

CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233239

The HAF 922 will work, but I'm gonna recommend this case...

Antec Eleven Hundred
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129178

It offers great airflow, roomy inside, numerous fan mounts, and excellent cable management. It also comes with usb 3.0 for the front panel and other neat features. I'd recommend you grab an extra 7 120mm case fans as it only comes with 2 exhaust fans. Keep in mind, the top 200mm fan it comes with has blue LEDs.

Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!

One more thing, if this build is solely for gaming you'd be better off to go for a lga 1155 based build.

What do you plan on using this build for? What is your budget?

For starters, for gaming, the i7 is a complete waste. The only difference between the i5 and i7 is HyperThreading. No game on the market uses it, and no game likely ever will. Forget about "future proofing". Everything in your computer will be old junk in 4-5 years no matter how much you bulk up the system today. You can literally save hundreds on your current build without sacrificing gaming performance. In the long run, its cheaper just to buy a system that does everything you need it to do TODAY, and in 3-4 years save your power supply, case and optical drive and do another build.

Also as already mentioned, watercooling is both unnecessary and dangerous.

This is a much better balanced system.
