Hello,
i have a HD5770 HIS
on a gigabyte GA-MA78GM-Us2H
phenom X6 1100t
4gb patriot viper
with a bluestar 650w PSU
and 3 HP monitors

problem is:
everytime i pick a highend graphic game
Blackout...! everything shuts down!!!!!
and the video card is not even hot

so i just stay with low profile graphics

my guess is the cheap PSU
anybody?

Hmmmmmm I might consider that
weird thing is that I have been playine before better graphics
and suddenly it got worse.

before i hade a phenom x3 8650, and used to work better
im gettin a cooler master PSU tomorrow, just in case

I just dont trust this blue star power supply...

Okay...!

It took me a long time to find and install the new PSU and all issues are gone now....
So it wasnt, the DVI adapter, nor the driver version, nor the eyefinity setup, nor the video ram size....

Now I can play on my 3 displays on high res, high textures, and really smooth...
havent run FRAPS yet, but the thing is working

I have installed the Cooler master 750W GX, I'm falling in love with that brand name
Now I am also able to set my rams to its factory speed... by tweaking the voltage
That was imposible before

Anyway

I hope this thread will be useful for anybody that wanna save a few bucks on a cheap generic PSU

Just dont do it...! Stay with the fancy ones......
Stay away from any BLUESTAR PSU........! it sucks
or any brandless, or cheap, or generic PSU
U might be risking all your hardware to a short life

PEACE....!
