Changed processor - keyboard doesnt work poperly

Hi!
I have bought Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 @2,2 GHz. Previuosly I had Intel Core2 Duo T5450 @ 1,66 GHz. My laptop is: Amilo pi2515
Now I have problems with keyboard :/ Few keys doesn't work.

If I type k I get jfsd+a++
If I type i I get urwe+q++
If I type , I get mvxc¸¸
If I type 8 I get 7423+1++
etc.

I have tried different keyboard, updated drivers and reinstalled windows (vista). Is downgrading to previous processor only solution?

More about changed processor keyboard doesnt work poperly
  1. re check the keyboard connection as you might have not plugged it securely when putting the laptop back together
  2. Checked this too ... And nothing has changed :/
  3. Well there's only one way to test! Pop the old CPU back in and see if the problem is corrected. Then put the new one back in. If the old one corrected it and the new one breaks it again, it's definitely CPU. Really weird problem!
  4. That should show if problem is in cpu ... I don't have any thermal paste, so I can't test it till friday :/
  5. mayo works well for testing.
  6. Hi :)

    I own a laptop repair company....

    I have seen this before...

    When you removed the keyboard, did you break or damage the holding clip ?

    If that keyboard ribbon cable is not held in at EXACTLY the right angle and exactly the correct amount of pressure by the clip, you will get whats happening...

    All the best Brett :)
  7. oh my, are they still using those? LoL - I remember breaking my first one too.
  8. I have tried usb keyboard and it has same problems. I doubt there's problem in keyboard.

    LOL! Was that a joke? That's awesome if it works, though I'd still be reluctant to spread condiments on my CPU...
  10. Hello again :)

    I have changed back to original processor and I still have same problem :/
    I don't know what else to do. I can't even work normaly.
  11. tried reseting the bios or updating it?
