So this is the first computer I've attempted to build since 05 and I don't think I have the nack for it I once had, but after very little research I have managed to pull together a little something and am looking for advice from those who are more up to date than me so Thanks!

Purchase date this weekend

Budget range $1300-$1700

Use: Gaming

Haven't picked a monitor yet so I still need advice on that as well. I think I'm looking for 1280 x 1024 but I honestly am open to all advice on the matter.

Alright I already have an i7-3770k intel processor and an intel SSD 240GB 520 series.

I've selected everything else from newegg

I've spent $390 on the parts I have and the total of the list above is $861

Thanks

The 912 is a budget case and doesn't "match" the rest of your system.... and no USB 3.0 ports is unacceptable at this point.

I'd look at the:

$100 Antec 900 (almost 6000 newegg reviews and 5 eggs rating)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021

$100 HAF-922 (1300 newegg reviews and 5 eggs rating
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197

$125 Corsair 500R ( new release - 147 revews and 5 eggs rating)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139010

HD - The Barracuda has a chinsy 1 year warranty. Here's 5 yeatrs for a few bucks more
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

GFX - The 560-448 is a "broken 570". The 570 had issues of its own
http://www.overclock.net/t/929152/have-you-killed-a-570-no-recent-deaths-buy-some-570s/550

The 660 Ti is slated to break in early August and I'd wanna see where the dust settles after that drops before investing a GFX at this date. Right now, most of my builds are getting these but that might be outta budget range:

RAM - Ya want RAM modules w/o those tall toothy heat sinks.

I dont see a need for more than 8GB in a gaming box and remember 4 moduler will typically mean lower CPU OC's than 2. I like these low voltage models and they make a fine aesthetic match with the 500R at $55

If ya insist on 4 x 4 GB ($95)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233197

Or the alternate 2 x 8GB ($105)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233280

MoBo - Great choice, tho the Sabertooth w/ the 5 year warranty may be worth the extra $

Here it is w/ 16 GB of RAM and a $25 discount
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1000780

This one matches your original combo w/ Win 7-64 for $40 more
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1003985

But there's only a $15 combo discount.....

If ya stick with the Pro ..... this combo w/ memory gets ya $10 additional savings over the Combo w/ the OS

As for the PSU, a 750 watter is a good choice if not OCing ya GPU's and COPU too heavily. I mostly use 850 watters for this reason.....and sometimes they even cheaper or of minimal additional costs. CM tho is not where ya wanna be buying from

These are all 2nd Tier PSU's (all have 9.5 jonnyguru rating)

XFX Core Edition 750 ($90 after $25 MIR)

XFX Core Edition 850 ($95 after $25 MIR)

Corsair TX750 ($74 after 15% off w/ promo code Corsair724 and $20 MIR)

Those are excellent case choices, I personally have, and endorse, the 500R; but all three are superb cases.

Thanks for the help, yeah the video card is definately something I was unstable about so thanks for the link. The one you recomended is slightly higher than the 300 I was aloting for one but might still be doable. Also thanks for the heads up on the case I think I will go with the Antec.

You've givin me alot to work with so thank you very much!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811119197

The western digital 1TB hard drive recomended.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136533

Corsair TX750 ($74 after 15% off w/ promo code Corsair724 and $20 MIR)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139021
Paired with
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.995519

but the video card is out of stock, any sugestion for one that would work well for me in the under $300 catagory perhaps?

I've keept the original MOBO and OS combo.
