How to find out if pci express slot is broken

I got this pre-half-broken gpu of mine and when i thought of switching it to the mobo graphics and pulled out the gpu, I think i broke the pci express slot as now, the card is not working when i plug it back and the mobo graphics doesnt work as well- i dont the reason for that- i think it was disabled in the BIOS. Now I cant see a thing in my monitor so i cant modify or verify anything with the software. So, HELP!?

You could try taking out CMOS battery for 2 minutes and then put it back it. It will enable the onboard graphics once again.

No- I didnt the guy who assembled my computer did.

Well that's the reason it is disabled.

The sideeffects of removing the CMOS battery is resetting BIOS settings to defaults. That's it. Oh, and you may have to set the clock manually too after .
