do you really need a soundcard? and especially one that cheap? I thought you'd start noticing a difference in sound quality when you pay a bit more, you'd also need some nice sennheisers for a good soundcard

What are you talking about? That's a $220 high end sound card, which seems to continue to receive critical acclaim for it's audio quality. You get what you pay for. :b

Sound card is 20 bucks. how is it high end? also ive seen onboard Sound cards have more jacks then that. I would upgrade the CPU to a i5 3570k if your going to use a Sabertooth Z77 board... Kinda looks foolish

My bad. I started two threads on this when I figured that I wouldn't get responses on this one. I mistook this for the other one.. Sorry. My parts have changed since then, including the SC.

That's the new one I picked out.

Looks good otherwise. If you don't plan on going SLI, you don't need anything more than the 650W PSU. Also, the Sabertooth looks cool, but is completely overrated otherwise. You can get equivalent performance for much, much cheaper. The soundcard doesn't mean anything to me, onboard sound does the trick for me, so if you are going to spend that much on a soundcard, more power to you.

Good luck.
