How do I know which port I have?

Idk which port I have. mine looks like PCI-e but I don't know which one. Can a PCI-E x16 fit on a PCI-E conventional?

Is this how your motherboard look like?

The white slot at the bottom is the PCI slot. You can not put a PCIe graphics card on it.
A little way up is the black slot. That is the PCIe slot. This is where the PCIe card go.
