not trying to start a flame war between fan boys, but for my price budget of £650/$1000 would intel or amd be a better choice, and if so could you give me a build aswell, thanks in advance, no i don't need a monitor but my resolution is 1029x1080

You can build a 3570k/GTX 670 system for just under $1k if you choose parts wisely.
