Does 3D Use More CPU Power?

Solution
If you mean displaying a 3D image, then the answer depends. Most implementations still display 60 total frames, just split 30/30 to create the 3D effect, so the CPU would be doing more or less the same amount of work as far as creating frames goes (there is some overhead involved in offsetting the frames though). Other implementations may have various other CPU impacts though.

But would 60FPS for each eye in 3D mode use as much CPU power for 120FPS 2D?
