What is this component on SPA3102 PCB

December 12, 2012 3:24:48 AM

I recently burnt a Linksys SPA 3102 ATA. It takes in power of 5V, 2A but by mistake I connected an adapter with output of 15V, 1A (meant for another gadget) and within a minute or so of connecting it 3102 burst with a sound, light and smoke. It is probably of no use any more but I just wanted to open and see what is inside. The photographs are shown here:

I found one shattered leaking capacitor and I replaced it (with the blue cap of similar specs). However, the 3102 is still dead (or probably partly alive because if I leave it powered up then after sometime I get burning smell). I found another suspect component, which looks like a diode/transistor/mosfet with AE 77 marked on it but I do not exactly know what to replace it with. Any ideas?
