Worried About Bottlenecking with FX6300

Looking into making a new rig with an AMD FX 6300 cpu and an HD 7850 gpu, ASUS M5A97 mobo. I'm kind of concerned that the cpu won't be able to handle the gpu and I'd have to overclock it in order to get them to jive. Is this going to happen or will I be fine as is? The only game I play is WoW and I don't require 100fps on ultra-max settings, I just want the game to look halfway decent.

(And please don't tell me to get an in Intel, I prefer AMD hardware and don't want to change.)

I can't speak for WoW specifically, but for most games that is a good combination and you will often find that the 7850 will be the main limiting factor.

You'll be fine. I have a 6300 and a 7870 and can play all but 2 of my games on max settings and get 60+ FPS.

specified mobo is am3+.it support and it can handle 7xxx series gpus.so buy gpu and keep playing at 60+frame rate.

You can always opt to buy a more powerful CPU than the FX-6300.

Get yourself the Phenom II X6. It's a tiny bit cheaper and a bit faster than the FX. Leaves more money to spend on a better motherboard, like the Asus M5A99X
