Here's all the details and the build I'm going with so far. Anything wrong with it?

Approximate Purchase Date: Next 2 weeks, hopefully some deals come out for some of these parts.

Budget Range: Approximately 1000-1100 CAN$ Before Rebates; Before Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, movies, streaming video, surfing the web.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: Everything

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, but not short term

Your Monitor Resolution: Want 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: Want to run Skyrim, Civ 5, and hopefully future proof it a little for upcoming games.

So basically, I wanna know if there's anything I should think about changing in this build, and what RAM I should get. Any suggestions for a cheap mouse and keyboard combo?. Please keep in mind the case, motherboard, and HDD are already purchased. Will probably be getting an SSD a few months from now and re-install Windows on that. Have at it folks!

I would get the i5 3570k. Your cpu is not overclockable.
G-Skill RAM's are very good. Both those models are pretty good. Just make sure you are getting DDR3 1600 1.5V RAM.
I would get any DVD-RW drive that is cheap. The ASUS DRW seems to be one of the cheaper but reliable ones.
Hrmm.. Too bad you already bought the PSU. If you wanted to xFire in the future, the 520W may not be enough.

Good catch on the CPU. Put the wrong one in my wishlist. I meant the 3570k. Did not buy the PSU yet, only the case, board and HDD. Thanks!
