SHould I get a new CPU FAN WITH HEATSINK

Hi.

My hard disk blew I have been having heating problems with my hppavilon dv5

I got a new hard disk. wondering if I should get a new CPU FAN WITH HEATSINK if it will make any difference or just clean the one I have.

Since HP has you locked down to stock settings, I would simply clean your existing HSF. If you find that heat is still an issue you might try replacing the thermal compound, adding another fan (very limited in options to do so), and/or ensuring adequate airflow to the case
