Hey guys! I'm in need of a new computer that will be used primarily for music production and animation (after affects mainly) and gaming. My 2007 iMac just crapped out and I realized that I was sacrificing lots of power just for a brand name, so I decided I would make my own computer. I think I have come up with a pretty decent build and just wanted opinions on what I could do to make it even better. I originally wanted this to be less than $2700 dollars (amount I was going to spend on new iMac), but am now realdizing that I dont really need to spend that much, so now Im trying to keep it under $2400. Additionally, I have been getting into 3D animation, so would this be a good 3D monitor? Also, if you have any suggestions for good gaming mice and keyboards, that would be appreciated. Thanks! :hello:

your build looks fine other then i drop the 680 down to the 670. (look at the speed tests here and on other forums. the 670 only about 10-15 percent slower then the 680. but it 1\2 the cost of the 680. also for your rig dont buy the min atx boards..there for low end gamers...you want to look at full size atx mb..they have more features and better layouts..some of them have build in wifi and bluetooth. the board you want to look at are ones like the sabertooth layout...have two 8x video card ports and slots for wifi or new sound card. if your going to be doing a lot of audio recording your better off using a new creative labs or asus sound card or a sound card that built for high end two channel audio recording. on board sound chipset are ok for light mp3 and gaming but i can tell the diff from onboard sound chipset and my soundblaster card.
