Hello,

My computer is under performing. I am not new at building PC but i must say that ever since i graduated from college and started a family I can't keep up with the tech that well. This is my set up:

VGA MSI|R6790-2PM2D1GD5 HD6790 1G R
MB MSI P55-GD80 1156 RT
CPU INTEL|CORE I5 750 2.66G R
MEM 2Gx2|OCZ OCZ3P16004GK R
PSU ROSEWILL|RX850-S-B 850W RT

My FPS on BF3 in the lowest setting stays around 40 and drops down to 9 or 5 ( power point style) and on D3 i play with a friend with a computer that i s not as good as my and his FPS is much better. I don't know whats going on, I installed all drivers and BIO are up to date. Anyone has any idea on why that is?

HELP!:)

Run a full virus, spyware, and adware scan. If you don't have paid programs, use AVG, Malwarebytes, and AdAware, as they all offer solid free versions.

Once you finished with that, run CCleaner to clean up your system.

Upgrade your RAM to 8 GB.

What is your hard drive? It's possible that it's very full, slowing performance, or that it needs to be defragged (if it's a spinner drive). Try that too.
