.but which is good?

these are my options to upgrde:

1) intel i3 3220 3.3ghz
gigabyte h61 d2h

2)intel g860 3.0ghz
gigabyte h61 d2h

my specs:

intel pentium dual core e5700 3.0ghz
gigabyte g41 s2p
corsair 4gb ddr3
seagate 500 gb hd
sapphire hd 6670 1gb ddr5

will i notice performance from upgrade from e5700 to g860 or i3 3220?

or i am wasting my rs 3500 more for i3 3220 as price difference between g860 and i3 is big

Get the G860 or G850 [if available] and use the rest of the cash to save up for a better GPU. An i3-3220 is no use at all if all you have is a HD6670.

Rumors have it they'll have a slightly lower clocked Pentium G2020 and a slightly higher clocked G2220. But all of it is speculation at this point thanks to Newegg listing the G2120 as discontinued. In terms of gaming though, you want the best video card you can get along with a "good" enough CPU for the budget. a G860 is "good enough" for most games on a budget build.

In terms of gaming. GPU > CPU 99% of the time.

or you could get one of amd's A8 3800 or A6 3500 chips and run crossfire with your 6670. I believe they are capable of that. That will give you a boost in cpu and GPU power. That is what I would do.

The Intel i3 3220 3.3ghz is such a good CPU it would outperform the A8 and A6 AMD processors with just a single Radeon HD 6670 video card.

The 'CrossfireX' that those APU's do helps them, but it doesn't make a cost effective solution compared to the competition.

how could we know wether it's no use or not? how could we test it?
