Your question

ANSYS

December 13, 2012 11:12:02 PM

Hi. I need to decide what hardware I should buy for working in Ansys (Fluent) because my computer is too old for that. I don't need professional hardware because I work my master work in faculty and I have time. I have budget of 300 euro and I need to buy CPU, motherboard, SSD, power supply and RAM. I will work with only one 3D model so I think that I don't need to buy and graphic card separately or I'm wrong?

What, generally is most important (of hardware) for that kind of simulation (air flow)? I was Google it and now I know less than on beginning. :(

I was seen that Intel was optimize their processor for ansys, but i don't know is that optimization for all their CPUs. :-\

Thank you.

Edit
This is my list:
CPU - AMD FX-4100
MB - MSI 970A-G46
RAM - 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1333MHz Patriot Signature
Power supply - 600W LC Power
SSD - SATA3 60GB Kingston V300
