Hello, I plan on buying myself a monitor for Christmas, and really need some help choosing! I will be playing modern games such as BF3 and Skyrim, so I guess I need a really low refresh rate. I also plan on playing Blu-Ray movies and streaming 1080p videos from YouTube. I am looking for a 1080p or 1200p monitor at around 22-24". That brings me to another question... Which is better for gaming? 1080p or 1200p?

I am looking into this monitor currently.

Any help is appreciated!

thats an alright monitor but i could suggest, this instead ,

also they dont really make 1900x1200 resolution monitors anymore, well not mainstream anyways, and theres not a big difference to be honest.

its an ips model, just as good and probably has better image quality.

enjoy and no need for cheap integrated speakers :)

I wasn't planning on buying it for the speakers, but they're a good bonus, so no complaints. ;)

As for your suggestion, it has a 14ms response time, which will not do seeing how I will be gaming. Thanks for making an effort though! :-)

Any suggestions? Is the difference between 5ms and 2ms really that noticeable?
