My second monitor works when connected to vga port on my new computer but get no

can't get my monitor to work when connected to dvi on my new hp computer

with newer mb and video cards with the gpu built into the cpu. the mb bios now has a section on first video device. most vendor may make the vga port the first video device. if you have a owners guild i would look under bios settings. it say first video device..vga...pcie..ipeg..sometime you can turn both on at boot. most time the port is on but you have to go into the video driver control pannel and set it up as a second monitor. or swap vga port to be the second monitor.
