Check BIOS and make sure the boot order is correct, and you aren't accidentally in IDE mode.

this is what i have...
1 onboard floppy (not present)
2 bootable hard drive
3 onboard cdrom drive
4 non-intergrated nic (np)
5 usb-fdd (np)
6 usb-zip (np)
7 usb-cdrom (np)
8 usb-device (np)

ive flipped 2 and 3 to 1&2 and vise versa

Hi :) 

Run a hard drive test in DOS...HIRENS CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive...

During the blue screen at the very bottom does it tell you a driver name like "drivername.sys"?
or maybe some components in your computer could be loose.
