Prepare Drive for OS

I just ordered a bare Hard Drive (60GB IBM 60GXP) from Newegg.com. Do I need to get any software to prepare the drive for installation of Win2k? My past hard drives always came with a disk to format the drive.

  1. You should be able to boot directly to the Windows 2000 CD and setup/install from there. That's providing that your system supports the full capacity of the hard drive ...

  3. I agree. That what I did with my hard drive. I boot directly from WIN2k cd and use the utility provide by the CD to partition and format my hard drive.
  4. Great. Thanks for the help.
