Hi there. I own a Samsung Yepp YP/E32 mp3 player. It has only 32Mb memory built in and although at 96kbps it holds about 11-12 songs I want to expand it's memory.
The problem I have is that the expansion cards are some Yepp Cards built by Samsung. Samsung calls them "Yepp Smartmedia Cards" they look exactly like normal Smartmedia Cards they are 3.3v powered but I'm not sure normal SmartMedia cards will work. I have found on the net that the only difference seems to be the file format but they didn't test them.
I would like to know if anyone bought this type of player an tried to expand it's memory. Of course current models of Samsung mp3 players use normal Smartmedia. Why didn't they used them in the first place??
Thanx for any useful information you may provide!
