Hey everyone. Weird issue.

Installed my Thermaltake Water 2.0 CPU cooler this evening. Put the case panel back on and fire it up....and i get red static. I can still see the startup screen and the mem counter and such...but its red snow. Won't load windows. Goes to windows load screen and then I think I can actually hear the computer laugh, and cycles back to the startup.

Tried to enter Bios....no mas. Just goes black screen when I hit Del to go to Bios. build below.

Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard

Ivy Bridge 3770S 3.1 Ghz CPU

8Gb (2x4) Corsair Vengance 1600 mHz RAM (though its only clocking itat 1333...different issue for a different time)

EVGA GTX 560 2Gb

Fatality Xtreme Recon sound card

Corsair 180 Gb SSD (Boot drive)

Barracuda 1Tb HDD

Windows 7 Home Prem

Yep, swapped it back to the stock cooler. Now, I didnt unbolt the radiator and unplug all the power sources yet, i just took the water bock off and put the air cooler back on it. Nada.

Plans for this afternoon are as follows: Pull out the GPU and pop in my old GTX 8800 to see if its a graphics card issue. If it still persists, use the Mobo HDMI to see if its a mobo issue (highly unlikely?).

Is my logic wrong to assume that since it IS booting and TRYING to load windows, that i have probably not fubar'd my mobo/processor, and have instead wielded the mighty static finger to damage my GPU?

Original cooler did not work. swapping graphics cards did not work. Able to get into Bios...it just goes black screen for a few seconds every 30 seconds or so. temp and voltage all seems fine.

Try a new DVI cable.

If that doesn’t work, then take everything out. Reorganize your cables so everything is clean and has a good solid connection.

If that doesn’t work I would half to say it’s the motherboard. It is possible some condensation occurred.
