Woohoo! I'm done with my wish list! (almost)

So this is going to be my first build. I'm pretty proud of myself for doing this, since I didn't know more about the innards of a computer other than the power switch.

The last part of my build I need is a case. I'll be looking for a case around 110$ and 70$, and I'll pick the one I feel has the greatest bang for buck factor. It will be a mid tower atx case.

If there's any recommendations or comments I have on my build, please do say. I've been second guessing myself quite a bit over the last few weeks, and I won't stop now.

OP: Spend $100 more on a Radeon 7850. Pairing such a powerful CPU with a weak GPU is going to have low fps in games.

I second the 7850, pump it to a 7950 if you can push the budget. Note the GTX 660 is supposed to be coming this month and prices will fall yet again.

the 6850 is not a good deal. the 6870 is like 10-20 bucks more at newegg.

a nice cheap case would be the antec one or the antec 302. about the same

Get a cheaper PSU. A good 600W is $50-$60. Spend the money towards a 7850.

I don't think I'll change my gpu. Like I said, I'm going to cf it when cyber Monday comes around. The tomshardware best gpu for the money ranks the 6850 as equal to a 7870. Not bad, considering it will be 100$ less.

a 6850 is comparable to a 560SE or a 7770

Actually, the 7850 at STOCK is comparable to the 560ti 448 core. When OCed, it is ALMOST equal to a GTX 580. The 7870 is equal to a GTX 570, and when OCed, it is equal to a GTX 580, if not a bit better.

Check out the Corsair 300R that I linked to - it's one of the best cases in its' price range.

meh. odds are that you are going to get a good drive. if not, just RMA. if you are really worried, backup your drive every week or so

Isn't there like a test that works the hard drive really hard? A read write test to eliminate any early errors?
