I currently have the following

athlon x2 5000+
2gb Corsair xms2
geforce 7900gt 512mb ram
500w psu

im running at 1920 x 1080p on the game and experience alot of slowdown when theres any kind of action going on. I've already purchased 2 more gb of ram and am kinda lost what to get for video card just to make the game more bareable, not trying to be a ultra settings guy just less slowdown.

My budget is 50-70 dollars and im partial to nvidia

i was looking at the gt440 but didnt know if it would offer a upgrade from my 7900gt. any and all other gfx card recommendations would be greatly appreciated as well. Dont really want to spend more then the budget as i said i dont play anything else but this game on the pc.

That chart will show where all of the graphics cards you have listed including the one you currently have in tiers.

Those are the MINIMUM requirements for Diablo 3. For your computer and budget, I would highly recommend the 6670 DDR3, since it is within your price range and performs better than all the cards you have listed. If you really really want a Nvidia card then go for the GT440, but the 6670 is the best for the price. It can't be beat.
