Like I said above i have a $1000 budget (i'm in the US) and i would like to ask the community what they think i should buy, so far i have a pretty good view of what im getting, but I just want to check and see with you guys.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (CM 430 Elite)

Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (WD Black 1TB)

Mobo and RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite... (ASUS P8Z77-V LK & Patriot Gamer Series 2 1x8GB stick of RAM)

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (i5 2500k)

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (OCZ ZT 750w)

GPU: I will buy a 660 Ti once it comes out (I know it would go a little over my budget, but what can we do?!?!?)

OS: I will buy win8 (OEM) once it comes out and get that along with another stick of 8gb ram.

I have an Agility 3 120GB SSD that i will be using from this computer, which was my first build about 8 months ago, I see this as a good chance for me to get rid of AMD while i can and just say screw the AM3+. Thanks guys for reading, and i hope you can help me out! Cya!

The 660ti wont put you over, I believe it will be a 200 dollar card. as for the CPU use the 10$ upgrade to a 3570k its still an i5 but it will perform better

street price it might be around the price of the 7870 and i was thinking about the ivy bridge but the temps go higher while overclocking, also i want the CM V6 gt cooler or the 812 but i dont think the 812 will fit my case.

yes the IB CPUs get hotter, but they are controlled by either water or high end Air Coolers, if your not looking to OC the thing to 4.5ghz it will be fine, under stress I have mine OC'ed to 4.5ghz at 70ish Full Load (using ANtec Kuhler 920 h20)

@DarkOutlaw, that case is overpriced i could get a HAF-922 and you can get a gtx 570 for less then the 560 Ti, and the ASUS mobo is better along with the fact that it is a higher tier brand then ASRock(I have nothing against then but i would prefer Gigabyte or ASUS)

I dont want water cooling, and clock for clock the ivy bridge and sandy bridge is extremely close to the ivy clock for clock.

4.3 IB clock = 4.1 SB clock

u said that wrong 4.3 SB = 4.1 IB but the sandy bridge will probably still have lower temps at those clocks on air cooling then the ivy bridge at 4.1

Don't know if you're buy a Microcenter, but they usually have CPU & Mobo specials for walk in's only. I got a 3570k & ASRock Z77 Ext 4 for just under $300.

You did ask - so - I'd go (and did go with) the 3570k. If not the 3570k, then I'd go for a Z68 board.

Also - I'd go with Win7 (Amazon for under $90) and upgrade in a year or two for $15 .

I personally like the beta right now over win7, so i have no reason to buy it now since win8 beta does fine in gaming other then arma 2, but i can play the dayz mod for it, and i will look into the 3570k, hopefully i can get it with the $15 off code on newegg, and combo it with a v6gt, and does any1 know if the 812 would fit my case?

You did get it wrong. IB has a comparable OC at a LOWER OC. For example, 4.2 GHz on an IB CPU is equal to 4.5 GHz on a SB CPU.

even still, IB is better. you can OC the SB to say 5ghz and an IB OC of say 4.7ghz the IB would perform better to my understanding

also most people for 24/7 OC stay at 4.5ghz, soo an 4.5Ghz IB OC will perform better then a SB at the same OC

i think i have decided with the 3570k, since i will be without a gpu until the 660 ti comes out and the intel HD 4000 is better then the 3000, and all points in this thread are valid, but i still dont know about a heatsink, and is my psu good? I have a modxstream in this build and it runs and overclocks fine, so i dont see why that ocz would perform any different.
