Umax scanner 5600 driver for windows 7 64 bit

Does not appear to be one. This happens a lot with older hardware and Windows 7 including my Canon LIDE 20. My solution was to use it on my Linux laptop which does not seem to have a brand preference. I just fired up a program called Simple Scan and it worked. The Linux I use is called Peppermint OS One and can be run from a CD or USB stick without installing.

A good idea for future reference is to run these two tools from Microsoft before upgrading Windows.
