Creative or Asus sound card?

I'm looking to get off of my onboard sound. I don't need anything too extreme, not hooking it up to any surround sound system, but i do have a pretty nice headset, and would like to know that my sound would be good if I went to a surround sound system.
Here is what I'm looking at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102043
^Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium $45
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132052
^Asus Xonar DGX $40

If it is really worth it then I would step up to the Xonar DX, but I don't think that it would be worth it with my headset/speakers as is.

  2. Turtle Beach X12. Not anything top-of-the-line, but still pretty nice.
