AMD FX-8350 CPU cooler

I was wondering whether the stock CPU cooler from AMD would be sufficient to cool the AMD FX-8350 or does it not get very hot as i plan to do a bunch of stress tests when i get it and games like crysis 2 then 3 and battlefield 3. Or is it necessary to buy a third party cooler which i am heading towards.

  1. It gets hot, not hot enough to kill the chip but hot. I would recommend replacing that, ESPECIALLY if you wanna overclock, if you overclock and keep that cooler on that will probably harm the chip. I recommend anything from Cooler Master's CPU cooler line for air cooling, and anything from the Hydro Series from Corsair for water cooling.
  2. If you are talking about the bundled cooler it is sufficient for std clocks. If you are going to overclock then get an aftermarket cooler.
